Everything in the house will be controlled using our smartphone with using Kodular app

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

Throughout the project, the house isn't needed or involved in any switch. All of the control is through our phone. Our aim of doing this project was to make some revolution towards the house which makes it look more hi-tech and switchless. The switchless house concept is also safe for general use. We won't get an electric shock even though our hands were wet. So it is really safe for elders and kids too. Aside,the auto light which we had added into this project was to provide a safe environment when the darkness arrived. The auto light is intended to provide a bright and safe environment to the user. This is because sometimes we are not at home while it is already dark outside. By using the auto light, it will make the house become safer from avoiding anyone breaking in.

Home Automation System (HAS) gains popularity due to communication technology advancement. Smart home is one of the Internet of Things (IOT) applications that facilitates the control of home appliances over the Internet using automation system. Owing to the rapid developments in automation technology, embedded systems and connectivity, the emerging technology ’Internet of Things’ (IOT) is sky-rocketing. Number of devices that can be inter connected through IOT is shooting up day-by-day. Life is made simpler and more productive through IOT. IOT can be considered as the network of multiple things including inanimate things as well as living organisms. Deploying a sensor network to collect the sensor data in the surrounding environment and remotely actuate the necessary controls is possible through IOT. As the Wi-Fi hotspots are increasingly becoming common in the recent times, the existing infrastructure can be used to develop a cost effective solution to enable the existing appliances with IOT. Most of the current solutions for home automation and industry control use GSM/GPRS for connectivity.A smart home will take advantage of its environment and allow seamless control whether the user is present or away. With a home that has this advantage, you can know that your home is performing at its best in energy performance.

THE MAIN CONTROLLER OF THIS SMART HOME

The whole housing electrical appliance was controlled with using our smartphone. We have the variety of choises to named the appliance through the app to makes us clearer.

The kodular app was coded by using this block diagram from the kodular website.

We also add some interesting feature into this project

We added a door solenoid which can be control through our smart phone. The aim of adding solenoid door lock was to makes us easy when our hand is full or we can lock the door from a distance.
